*Writing Tip #3: “Suffering From Writers Block?”

It happens from time to time…You want to write but your mind went blank. I suggest that you tap into your emotions.

When I was 10 years old, I used to play a little game with words, based on whatever I was going through. A simple rhyming game of sorts. So for example, if I stubbed my toe, I’d make-up something like this:

I stubbed my toe!
It hurts so bad, I can hardly see,
Jumping up and down,
Like I wanna pee!
Don’t laugh!
You should feel sorry for me!”

Lol! Of course I did this while hopping around in pain, which reduced my family & I to laughter. But I did this quite often. Sort of like how rappers do, when they freestyle.

This little trick and or exercise, enabled me to blend words and write poetry, literally at a drop of a hat. Stop laughing, lol and try it, lol!!! Have fun! 🤣😂

{Maxwanette A Poetess} I have been writing poetry since the age of 5. I enjoy poetic expression and feel that, "Everyone Is A Poet." We all speak and in our speech, we express a message, that is usually attached to an emotion and or feeling. To me, this is poetry in it's natural form.
