“I Have A Broken-Heart”

“I Have A Broken-Heart”
I have a broken-heart that needs mending,
The pain is never ending,
As I am not good at pretending,
That I don’t care.
There was something good between us,
But your actions made it a minus,
You did what you wanted, just because,
Now my soul is bare.
I don’t know how long it takes to fix it,
I don’t think you get it,
You gave my heart stomps & kicks,
It takes time to heal something that dear.
Your flirting with others is troubling,
You complain about everything,
At times you talk to me like some lost foundling,
As if I’m this dumb thing, that doesn’t know what to do.
I have a broken-heart that needs mending,
That you’re forever bending, by the ways that make you.
You stated you will never change, my feelings became rearranged,
And this S.O.S. was caused by you.
See, it’s been broken before,
That’s why I can give you no more.
If I continue on, with a love that’s forlorn,
There will be nothing left for me.
I will caress my chest & do what is best.
I will stay groomed as I lick my wounds,
As life goes on through the mess.
And as I go, only I will know…
I have a broken-heart that needs mending.

{Maxwanette A Poetess} I have been writing poetry since the age of 5. I enjoy poetic expression and feel that, "Everyone Is A Poet." We all speak and in our speech, we express a message, that is usually attached to an emotion and or feeling. To me, this is poetry in it's natural form.
