Luvin Di Bob”

Listening to you daily, in my youth,

You became a mentor, friend, a vision of truth.

Sneaking to play your music, under the covers in bed,

As your words & sounds, were imprinted within my head.

Wishing that you didn’t physically die,

As it was you, who first helped to re-open, my 3rd-eye.

A legend, a master, out doing time,

I sing & hum your chunes, line-by-line.

Many have gone & many will come,

But your musical prophetness, can never be matched or undone.

Grown, that I am, yet these ears & eyes still see,

There will never be another like, “Robert Nesta Marley.”

“One~Love.”

*Inspired by my #1 & favorite artist & teacher, “Bob Marley.” Like many, I grew up rather rough and underprivileged. Through the pain and confusion, felt and endured as I child…I needed answers. I grew up listening to Bob Marley and by the age of 8, I knew a great deal of his music by heart. He taught me about life and made me want to seek more answers. He also opened my mind up to the world in which we live in. I would sing his songs and cry. At times, I swore he was singing about and for me. Then I began to see, that he was. He was singing for all that could relate & or over-stand the meaning of his lyrical visions & life. I don’t miss him, because for me? He lives on forever. His words & messages are timeless. He will never die.

{Maxwanette A Poetess} I have been writing poetry since the age of 5. I enjoy poetic expression and feel that, "Everyone Is A Poet." We all speak and in our speech, we express a message, that is usually attached to an emotion and or feeling. To me, this is poetry in it's natural form.
