“Remnants”

Like so many, I am a grandparent. I have 6 beautiful creations, that I miss dearly. This poem is dedicated to my grandchildren {Amaya, Kendell, LJ, Dynesti, Promise & Zashia}. All little princes and princesses. Grandma loves you!

*HOLD ON, GRANDMA’S COMING!

“Remnants”

Tall, short, young,

and all shades of brown.

Beautifully created, bouncing all around.

Big, brown eyes,

filled with hope, wisdom and innocence.

Reminders of why we must have “Knowledge of Self.”

Questions in abundance,

as sunlight dances across their faces,

happy for a  place to reside.

Gales of laughter heard,

as the picture in my minds eye, come to life…

“My Grandchildren.”

*Inspired by my Grandchildren.

{Maxwanette A Poetess} I have been writing poetry since the age of 5. I enjoy poetic expression and feel that, "Everyone Is A Poet." We all speak and in our speech, we express a message, that is usually attached to an emotion and or feeling. To me, this is poetry in it's natural form.
