“Platonic Friend”

“Platonic Friend”

See, I just want a platonic friend.

Someone to have fun with now and then.

Nothing to do with intimacy & faded old lines.

Just someone to hang with, go out, a partner in crime.

Sadly, it’s so difficult to find,

that special person, that “one of a kind.”

Instead, there are so many hungry souls, that are sick.

They’ve become delusional on the meaning of platonic.

Have we lost the art of simply being friends?

{Maxwanette A Poetess} I have been writing poetry since the age of 5. I enjoy poetic expression and feel that, "Everyone Is A Poet." We all speak and in our speech, we express a message, that is usually attached to an emotion and or feeling. To me, this is poetry in it's natural form.
