“I Don’t Want Your Pity!”

“I Don’t Want Your Pity”

I don’t want your pity

I can stand on my own

I’ve been through worse than this

And I’ve made it alone

No matter the journey

Or who watches the fight

I’ve gone through it

I’m still here and alright

You see obstacles, problems & stress

I don’t have that kind of time to waste

There’s just too much to live for

The knowledge of life, has a beautiful taste

So save your pity for those who seek it

As my energies propel me to places unseen

I have sprung forth from the, “coal-pressured-into-a-diamond” life

Blindingly swift, as I continue to gleam

You can keep it, for it isn’t needed…I don’t want your pity, lol!

{Maxwanette A Poetess} I have been writing poetry since the age of 5. I enjoy poetic expression and feel that, "Everyone Is A Poet." We all speak and in our speech, we express a message, that is usually attached to an emotion and or feeling. To me, this is poetry in it's natural form.
