📚✍🏾”In Brooklyn”~By, Maxwanette A Poetess✍🏾📚

Born and raised Baby!

Straight outta Cumberland Hospital.

You land on your feet when you drop to the beat…

We played with neighborhood kids,

All parents watched what we did,

We had manners & respect when I was a kid,

In Brooklyn.

If you want to find this,

Say you’re looking for that?

You know where it’s at…

In Brooklyn!

No matter its gloom or its grace,

Y’all know ain’t no other better place…

                                              Than In Brooklyn!

*Born to Jamaican parents, in Brooklyn, in the 70s was SOMETHING!
