I’ve been walking in the driving rain,
Will I ever see your face again.
As the raindrops, from the streetlights,
Catch the tears, within my eyes,
I realize…
I’ve lost you.

And now with every step I take,
I hear it echo each mistake,
Reminding me, about the things I said,
When I could have said, nice things instead.
And I’m sitting, on a park bench,
Drenched right through,
Because of you,
And all the ways,
I messed up.

As I gaze up through the driving rain,
I only wish that you could feel my pain,
Then you would know,
Despite my selfish ways,
You’d be amazed,
To see how much,
I love you.

I’ve been walking in the driving rain,
Will I ever see your face again.
As the raindrops, from the streetlights,
Catch the tears, within my eyes,
I realize…
I’ve lost you.
