Often in life, we can and usually are, our worse critics. We’ve forgotten that for every action, there’s a reaction.
So if someone cuts us with a knife? We bleed. Should we be told or expected not to??? Let’s say we don’t bleed, we simply felt the pain or like some, we react to the mere sight or anticipation of the situation.
Many of us go through life and are treated as if we shouldn’t feel or expected to feel anything. That’s a bunch of foolishness. Is it any wonder that heartlessness is beyond imaginary proportions now? Well of course it is. We’re taught to suck it up, don’t let it defeat you, man-up, don’t be so aggressive, etc. Well doesn’t one wonder, where is all that negative energy expected go??? Yep! We keep it inside until its past being septic.
It’s okay to acknowledge one’s pains & defeats. Accept the reality of them and deal with them. Stop hiding, faking it till we make it, brushing it off/sweeping it under the rug, pretending that it doesn’t exist nor never happened. Stop acting as if we’re not supposed to feel and wrong or weak for doing so.
I like to think that feelings & emotions are what defines us as human beings, along with the mental capacity to think. Not dealing with things doesn’t make them magically disappear. Instead it leaves them to dig deep & become rooted in our psyche & Soul as it becomes a part of us.
So it’s okay to feel how we do when we’re in negative situations. Don’t compare ourselves to others and work on YOU. Also try to remember…
