“Or self-determination. This principle refers to defining, naming, creating and speaking for oneself.”

“Love The Skin You’re In”
————‐————————–
Dark as the midnight ‘s sky.
Deep, rich, & magnificently formed.
Jealous are the colored hues,
In life’s Crayola box.

Black, Jet-Black, Blueish-Purpleish,
Onyx, Charcoal, Sable, Raven,
Sooty, Ebony, Inky, & Swarthy.
Sun-Kissed, by The Most High!

Your extra beauty & blessings
Wrapped up divinely,
Within your pigmentation.
I stare in glorious awe, at your existence.

Wanting to be near you
Wishing to touch you
Praying for your overload of Melanin,
To taint my, lacking skin.

It is saddening when you reach,
For skin lightening bleach,
As you strive to copy the misery,
Of those who strive to be you…

Never add, any filters,
To throw your Melanin off kilter,
For you are the supreme balance,
Of life.

How beautiful you are,
Shining brighter than the morning star.
You hold the most powerful of purpose,
As the Universe is saturated within your epidermis.

Baby? Love The Skin You’re In.

*Society & the world can be a cruel & warped place. So many are fed to believe that dark skin is a curse. Far from it. It is one of the most beautiful things to behold.
“Know Thyself, Love Thyself, Be Thyself.”

Day 2 & Principle #2
Kwanzaa Is EVERYDAY
